Rebeca Carvajal
FOUNDER and Art Therapist
Rebeca Carvajal is a Licensed Proffesional Counselor (LPC) for Washington D.C., a Licensed Clinical Mental Health counselor in NC, and a Board Certified Registered Art Therapist (ATR-BC). Rebeca has her Masters of Arts in Art Therapy from The George Washington University and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Studio Art from Queens University of Charlotte. Art therapy provides an intersection of both of her passions: art making and community empowerment. Rebeca was born in Costa Rica and recently moved back to Charlotte,NC.
Rebeca has provided individual therapy to adolescents and adults, open art studio community setting therapy with those experiencing homelessness, and school based therapy with adolescents. Rebeca has also taught therapeutic art classes at a community art center in Washington D.C. and has provided virtual stress management workshops to adults at job sites. Rebeca has experience co-creating community art project events by partnering with organizations.
On her free time, Rebeca loves gardening, latin dancing, playing with puppies, relaxing with family, and hiking at a local park.
